On February 21, 2023 at approximately 11:56 PM Wilmington Police Department responded to a local business in Wilmington to perform a welfare check on two individuals who were reportedly fighting. During the investigation, one individual was found to be operating a vehicle, and displayed indicators of impairment by alcohol. The operator, William Krogh, age 45, of Greensboro, NC was subsequently arrested and transported to the Wilmington Police Department for processing. The operator was released on a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court - Windham Criminal Division on March 14, 2023 to answer to the charge.

On February 18, 2023 at approximately 7:17 PM, a Wilmington Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on VT Route 100 for a vehicle that was observed failing to maintain its lane of travel. During the stop, the officer detected signs of impairment and screened the operator, who was subsequently arrested for DUI. The operator, Roderick E Clark, age 43, of Norfolk, VA was arrested and processed at the Wilmington Police Department. He was released on a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court- Windham Criminal Division on March 14, 2023 to answer to the charges. 

Arrest: Driving with a Criminally Suspended Driver's License (DLS) & Negligent Operation

On February 18, 2023 at approximately 09:09 AM the Wilmington Police Department was on patrol in the area of Mann Road in Wilmington. A Wilmington Police Officer stopped a vehicle for speeding and unsafe passing of another vehicle. During the stop the operator was found to have a criminally suspended driver's license. The operator, David Merriam, age 41, of Shaftsbury, VT was arrested and processed at the Wilmington Police Department. He was released on a citation to appear at the Windham County District Court on March 21, 2023 at 10:00 AM to answer to the charges.

On February 17, 2023 at approximately 11:47 PM, a Wilmington Police Officer observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel and operating erratically on Mann Road.  The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on Spyglass Road. During the stop, the officer detected signs of impairment and screened the operator who was subsequently arrested for DUI. The operator, Joseph H. Schwendt II, age 46, of Wayland, MA was processed at the Wilmington Police Department and was released on a citation to appear in Windham Criminal Court on March 14, 2023 to answer the charge.
