On January 27, 2024 at approximately 10:17 AM Wilmington Police responded to VT Route 9 West at the intersection with Haystack Road in Wilmington for a report of a male that had been run over by a tractor. During the investigation police learned that a disabled tractor trailer was in the process of being towed from roadside. After the trailer was released, the disabled tractor was driven forward and drove over the victim's leg resulting in a broken leg. Deerfield Valley Rescue transported the injured male to the hospital.

On February 23, 2024 at approximately 8:04 PM, a Wilmington Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speed on North Main St (VT Route 100 North). During the stop, the officer detected signs of impairment and screened the operator. The operator was subsequently arrested for DUI and transported to the Wilmington Police Department for processing. The operator, Mark J. Monaco Jr, age 32, of Trumbull CT, was released on a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court - Windham Criminal Division on March 12, 2024 at 8:30 AM to answer the charges.

On February 9, 2024 at approximately 6:20 PM, Wilmington Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in Wilmington, VT for a 911 call reporting a domestic assault. During the investigation it was alleged that a dispute between family/household members had occurred and that the victim had been pushed resulting in a fall that caused injuries. As a result of the investigation, Ian Bryce, age 25, was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault. He was processed and later released on conditions of release and was issued a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court - Windham Criminal Division on February 12, 2024 at 12:30 PM.

On Saturday, February 3 2024 at approximately 5:30 PM , while on-duty at a Twin Valley Middle High School basketball tournament, a Wilmington Police officer was notified of an assault that had just occurred. During the investigation the officer learned at the end of the basketball game a juvenile player from Leland and Gray High School had assaulted another juvenile player. It was alleged that the offender punched the other player in the face three times causing injuries. The 14 year old offender was issued a juvenile petition to appear in Windham Family Court on March 14, 2024 for the charge of simple assault.

February 10, 2024 at approximately 3:09 PM the Wilmington Police Department was notified of an erratic operator traveling on VT Route 9 East headed into Wilmington. The vehicle was located on Lake Raponda Road and during the investigation it was found that the operator was operating with a criminally suspended license. The operator, Bonnir Nasuta, age 41, of Brattleboro VT was arrested for Criminal DLS and Ignition Interlock Device Required and was issued a citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court - Windham Criminal Division on 03/26/2024 at 8:30 AM to answer to the charges.
