SUMMARY: DUI, Negligent Operation

On March 24, 2024 at approximately 8:10 PM, a Wilmington Police Officer responded to the intersection of Haystack Road and Ray Hill Road for a report of a motor vehicle collision. During investigation, police learned that the operator had failed to maintain control of his 2018 Volkswagen Atlas and crashed down an embankment. During interactions with the operator, the officer detected signs of impairment and screened the operator. The operator was subsequently arrested for DUI & Negligent Operation and was transported to the Wilmington Police Department for processing. The Operator, Lawrence Plevier, age 48, of Wall NJ was arrested, processed, and released on a criminal citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court - Windham Criminal Division on April 16, 2024 at 8:30 AM to answer to the charges.
