SUMMARY: DUI #2, Negligent Operation

On September 1, 2024 at approximately 10:14 PM, a Wilmington Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle along VT RT 100 out for failing to maintain its lane of travel. During investigation, the officer detected signs of impairment and screened the operator. The operator was subsequently arrested for DUI #2 and Negligent Operation and was transported to the Wilmington Police Department for processing. The defendant, John Edward Carrington, age 48, of Readsboro VT, was processed and released on a citation to appear in Windham Criminal Court on October 1, 2024 at 8:30 AM to answer the charges.
