SUMMARY: Simple Assault
On Saturday May 6, 2023 at approximately 3:59 PM, Wilmington Police were dispatched to a business on South Main Street in Wilmington for a report of an assault that had just occurred. Upon arrival police found that a subject had exited a vehicle, punched the male victim in the face and then struck him again after he had fallen to the ground. The suspect then left the area in his vehicle. During the investigation Wilmington Police were able to locate and identify the suspect as Charles Williams, age 34, of Wilmington, VT. Williams was arrested and charged with Simple Assault. Williams was cited to appear in the Vermont Superior Court - Windham Criminal Division on 6/20/2023 to answer to the charges.
